This course will examine a range of mental health concerns that impact parents and carers including depression, bipolar disorders, and personality disorders.

Identifying signs of mental distress in adults with parental responsibilities, the potential impact on the parent-child relationship, parenting capacity and the children’s development.

The impact of cultural and gender factors impacting on experiences of mental distress and inter-generational trauma. The course will also examine a range of holistic interventions for improving parental mental health and safeguarding children at risks
