Child Sexual Abuse: how to identify and have difficult conversations through effective multi-agency working

This course is for anyone who works with or volunteers with children, young people and families in Brent to understand the complex issue, and prevalence, of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA).

Join this training to:

• Understand the complexities and types of CSA.
• Understand the possible signs of abuse, and of an abuser.
• Understand the impact of current and historic abuse and the role of a trauma-informed approach.
• Develop confidence in how to approach this challenging area through consideration of curiosity, observation skills, questioning and active listening and the crucial role of information sharing and the roles and responsibilities of different agencies for effective multi-agency working.
• Know when and how to raise a concern, escalate and refer.
• Understand the impact of unconscious bias on practice, and that CSA cuts across all demographics
