Who Should Attend? This course is designed for anyone who works or volunteers with adults and families in Brent and may have come across or suspected domestic abuse. If you haven't, sadly it is likely that you will.

Aim. This multi-agency training one-day virtual workshop is to will support you to understand the dynamics of domestic abuse and the barriers to disclosure survivors may face. Attending this session, you will feel confident to initiate conversations about domestic abuse using a trauma informed, multi-agency approach.

We will explore the significance of intervening early and understand the importance of identifying high risk factors of domestic abuse which may lead to further harm and/or homicide. This is an interactive session which will encourage you to think about your client base and to share ideas with colleagues on how to work proactively with survivors of domestic abuse to increase their safety.

Please note; best attended with the two-hour MARAC training (various dates). The DA-MARAC is a Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference held to discuss the most high risk cases of domestic abuse and sexual violence, to share information and to safety plan to safeguard a victim. Please book one of these if you have not.
